Irish gay group will protest the parade

The Irish gay group Irish Queers will "protest the exclusion of lesbian, gay and transgender Irish people" from the New York St. Patrick's Day Parade, the group said in a statement. The protest will include a demonstration at St. Patrick's Cathedral on the eve of the March 17 parade and a "black flag" protest at a point along the parade route.
